Abstract
The mobility difficulties that currently impact the municipality of Duitama Boyacá, are causing many entities such as those dedicated to the transport of fruit, to try to design and implement various strategies for the categorization of routes, in such a way as to reduce the negative impact on their logistics operations and the required demand can be met. For the investigation, information available in the Chamber of Commerce of the municipality of Duitama was used in order to obtain the location of the companies in charge of processing and distribution of fruit, which were surveyed allowing them to know the market situation. Surveys were also made of supply employees, allowing data to be obtained regarding workers' fees, storage size, activity times, distribution roads and transportation costs, thus contributing to the development of the study. With the inquiries obtained, the mobility characterization was carried out by analyzing the current merchandise merchandising and reception system based on the particularities of the delivery centers in terms of loading and unloading areas, routes and micro routes, travel time and characteristics of the automotive, in order to study operations and identify critical logistics processes allowing to determine the failures that occur. For the realization of a distribution model, different variables were taken into account, such as the routes to be taken to each company, the capacity of the trucks, schedules and daily demand for the group of companies, allowing the difference between transport costs to be obtained. In the same way, the initial distribution scenario was identified and based on this, different routes were proposed analyzing the variability of time in order to determine an optimal distribution route, exposing the most efficient route through simulation.
