Abstract
The present research is aimed to evaluate the emotional intelligence of the adolescents of the ninth grade of an Educational Institution of the Buenaventura district 2020. This research has a descriptive quantitative design. A sample of 30 people between the ages of 12 to 17 years was taken from said institution. To whom the TMMS-24 instrument was applied, based on the Trait-Meta Mood Scale (TMMS) of the Salovey and Mayer research group, suitable for adolescents.
Finally, it is concluded that there is an equivalent distribution in results associated with the dimensions of attention and clarity, since half of the individuals have adequate emotional intelligence in these dimensions and the other half must improve. On the other hand, you have that most adolescents have emotional regulation.
