Abstract
This project was born from the need observed at the Antonio Nariño University in Medellin to implement a protocol to develop the processes established in the low vision clinical history in a timely manner, since, as a health service provider, it must have strategies that favor user-centered care and thus ensure patient satisfaction.
For the development of this protocol, the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in the Management of Clinical Practice Guidelines elaborated on February 28, 2020 and the guidelines of the existing protocols at the Antonio Nariño University were taken into account.
Initially, the topics to be prioritized in terms of the needs and shortcomings that exist in the Universidad Antonio Nariño in Medellín were identified and once these topics were defined, the protocol was elaborated taking into account the procedures reflected in the clinical history that aims to respond to the assistance actions carried out in patients with low vision. Finally, a flow chart was elaborated whose purpose is to reflect a route of attention and the forms of action in the assessment of low vision.
