Abstract
Virtual applications have been of great impact since their creation, because they have facilitated different actions of men, performing them from the cell phone, in this case identifying and using dental instruments and drills. Overall objective: Create a virtual application for the identification and use of instruments and dental drills for the students of the Antonio Nariño University. Materials and methods:Two surveys were carried out to evaluate the shortcomings in the identification and use of dental instruments and drills in students from fifth to tenth semester of the Antonio Nariño University, the first teacher and the second student; 7 teachers were questioned anonymously and 90 students were evaluated with informed consent, a manual was made where the instruments were grouped by specialties, the design of the App was made and using Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 the graphics were made, then the layout programming main which was developed in Android Studio the distribution of the visual elements of the interface and operation of the main activity, finally the publication in Google Play. Results: According to the surveys carried out, it was possible to analyze that the students from the fifth to the tenth semester, present shortcomings when identifying and using the dental instruments, a manual and an instruction manual of the app was created and finally the DenTools virtual application was developed for the students. Conclusion: It was concluded that a virtual application was created which will allow improve deficiencies in the identification and use of instruments and dental drills.
