Este trabajo se centró en fortalecer las habilidades sociales (HS) para la resolución de
conflictos en niños y niñas afectados por violencia intrafamiliar en Colombia. Los objetivos
incluyeron identificar las manifestaciones y características de estas habilidades, diseñar una
estrategia psicoeducativa, y evaluar su impacto. Se utilizó un enfoque cualitativo con
Investigación Acción, aplicando cuestionarios y grupos focales. Los resultados indicaron
falencias significativas, especialmente en las HS avanzadas. Aunque reconocen la importancia de
habilidades como la escucha y la formulación de preguntas, presentan dificultades para
aplicarlas, lo que refleja una falta de confianza y anclaje en estas habilidades. Además, sienten
incomodidad al iniciar y mantener conversaciones, y su comprensión de la importancia de
disculparse y hacer elogios es limitada. La necesidad de intervenciones educativas se hace
evidente, especialmente para mejorar su comunicación, asertividad y empatía, lo cual es crucial
para su desarrollo social y emocional.

Abstract
This study focused on strengthening social skills (SS) for conflict resolution in children affected by domestic violence in Colombia. The objectives included identifying the manifestations and characteristics of these skills, designing a psychoeducational strategy, and evaluating their impact. A qualitative approach using Action Research was used, using questionnaires and focus groups. The results indicated significant shortcomings, especially in advanced SS. Although they recognize the importance of skills such as listening and questioning, they have difficulty applying them, reflecting a lack of confidence and understanding of these skills. Furthermore, they feel uncomfortable starting and maintaining conversations, and their understanding of the importance of apologizing and praising is limited. The need for educational interventions is evident, especially to improve their communication, assertiveness, and empathy, which is crucial for their social and emotional development.
