Para la sociedad es un deber humanitario pensar en el tratamiento y la sana
convivencia entre los animales y las personas. El siguiente proyecto genera una
solución de tipo hospitalario-veterinario, que aporte desde la arquitectura a la salud
pública y el manejo del problema de enfermedades de Transmisión de Origen
Zoonótico ETOZ en la zona urbana de Neiva.
Con este trabajo se estudió y evaluó la infraestructura actual de las
fundaciones animalistas y centros de salud veterinaria, en el municipio de Neiva y su
papel en la mitigación de la zoonosis para la prevención, y control de las ETOZ.
Lamentablemente la zona urbana del municipio de Neiva no cuenta con una
infraestructura pública adecuada para realizar procedimientos y/o tratamientos
veterinarios; razón por la cual, como futuros Arquitectos buscamos con este proyecto
concientizar a nuestros gobernantes acerca de esta problemática, sugiriendo un aporte
de tipo arquitectónico que ofrezca mayores oportunidades, eficiencia en el uso de
espacios y con el cumplimiento de las normas legales y sanitarias, para llegar a
soluciones viables y sostenibles.

Abstract
For society, it is a humanitarian duty to consider the treatment and harmonious coexistence
between animals and people. The following project proposes a veterinary hospital-type solution that
contributes to public health and addresses the problem of zoonotic disease transmission (ZDT) in the
urban area of Neiva through architectural means.
This work involved studying and evaluating the current infrastructure of animal welfare
foundations and veterinary health centers in the municipality of Neiva, and their role in mitigating
zoonosis for the prevention and control of ZDT.
Unfortunately, the urban area of Neiva lacks adequate public infrastructure to carry out veterinary
procedures and treatments. Therefore, as future architects, we aim to raise awareness among our
government officials about this issue, suggesting an architectural contribution that offers greater
opportunities, efficient use of spaces, and compliance with legal and sanitary regulations, to achieve viable
and sustainable solutions.
This design proposal aims to improve the quality of life through an architectural proposal for
animals in the regional and urban areas of Huila. With careful planning of spaces, it serves not only the
human community but also the living beings that share our environment. This integration of design
strategies conscious of animal welfare not only promotes a more sustainable and equitable urban
environment but also highlights the importance of considering all species in urban and regional
development.
