Abstract
This project truthfully seeks to provide a solution to the problem that the Antonio Nariño University has with respect to the use of its electrical tomography equipment in the field, since due to the discharge of the batteries it requires, it is not possible to carry out The acquisition of data continues for the characterization of the soil and the discovery of mass graves. The TRE electrical resistivity tomography equipment is an equipment used for geoelectric prospecting which records the apparent resistivity of the subsoil, it is used for different applications for its good performance. Due to this, the design of a mechanical pedaling system was carried out, which coupled to a permanent magnet generator could allow the recharging of the batteries of an electrical tomography equipment, in order to prolong the time of use of the batteries that feed the tomography equipment that belongs to the University, and therefore the autonomy of the team in underground surveys to search for mass graves, since this time is currently over 3 hours, which implies that the batteries must be recharged in the field , because there is no access to alternating current electrical networks there.
